Progress: We have now achieved our first aim: to secure a community-owned multi-purpose boat shed on the old Whisstocks site.  You can find out what will happen next – the news will come thick and fast now that WRT has possession of the shed.

Projects: There are several projects already waiting in the wings. Future newsletters will tell you about the fitting out of the shed workshop, planned projects to build St Ayles rowing skiffs and the full-size replica of the Sutton Hoo burial ship, and opportunities for you to become involved in those and other activities.

Support: WRT is run entirely by volunteers, and we need individuals, community groups and businesses, as well as grant-funding organisations, to contribute both energy and funds, so there will be news of volunteering opportunities, and fundraising initiatives.

Activities: Maritime heritage events to visit.  Competitions.  Courses, demonstrations, exhibitions. Musical performances. Local information we think will be of interest to you.

We aim to circulate news quickly.  Our e-newsletters will not be regular ‘publications’, covering all the above topics.  E-newsletters may be just a brief email with a link to information posted in the news section of our website, relating to a single topic.
